The Paradise/ Concow Gleaners

You may ask yourself “What is a Gleaner”?

By definition, a Gleaner is someone who gathers food from fields or orchards after they have been harvested. That is what the Paradise/Concow Gleaners do, by gathering our low-cost foods and other merchandise from local businesses and other organizations, we are able to feed approximately two hundred in the Paradise and Concow area.

These families are generally senior citizens, disabled, or low income families. By offering a program that is low-cost, these people are not faced with unfortunate financial predicaments like having to decide between food and medications. The Gleaner program also contributes to promoting a more balanced diet.

The Wild Mountain Faire Committee is dedicated to helping

raise funds and public awareness for this non-profit organization.
